
Despite being relative newcomers in the mining and civil contracting industries, NPC have been busy winning awards and recognition in business.
2010 - Winner, National and State Telstra Business Awards - Sensis Social Responsibility category
NPC were proud to win firstly the Queensland state category award for Social Responsibility and secondly the national level award in the same category. NPC was especially proud of these awards because they were awarded for "demonstrated leadership and contribution by a business to the environment, people, education or the community", all things NPC cares about deeply. 2009 - Winner, Mining Industry Skills Centre (MISC) Awards - Innovation Award
Following recognition from the Queensland government through its Smart Awards it was the turn of industry to recognise NPC's efforts, with the Mining Industry Skills Centre presenting NPC with a gong in the "innovation" category.
This award recognises not only NPC's unique dedication to training Indigenous people, but the social programs and supports put in place to make sure employment is successful.
2009 - Finalist, Deadly Awards - Contribution to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Employment
The "Deadly's" are Indigenous Australia's biggest salute to Indigenous people achieving excellence in industry, arts, sport and culture. NPC takes particular pride in being named as a finalist in these awards
2008 - Winner, The Premier of Queensland's Smart Awards - Rising Star award
In 2008, Northern Project Contracting took out the Rising Star award as part of the Queensland Government's Smart Awards. NPC beat 20 other nominees to win the award, which was presented by Premier Anna Bligh to NPC Director Bradley Foster at the Smart Awards gala dinner.

2005 - Winner Reconciliation Awards for Business - Joint Venture category
In 2005, NPC won the Joint Venture Category in the Premier's 2005 Reconciliation Awards for Business, for its cooperation between Exact Mining and Waanyi Mining Services.
Through this award, NPC is recognised as a leading example of a successful joint venture partnership between Indigenous groups and mainstream business in Queensland.
